  Wonderful working Quinta for a peaceful stay

  Liked: Beautiful Quinta with friendly staff. Breakfast items delivered to your studio daily. Retired competitive jumping horse lives at the Quinta and will greet you and ask for apples. Fruit trees everywhere

  Disliked: Nothing, it was a wonderful stay.

  Great for a short visit of two/three nights tops

  Liked: Great location in the middle of their vineyards, everything about that was stunning. Huge property to explore, really quiet despite us being there during the harvest. Staff was so nice, helped us with everything and were approachable about every topic. Apartment was nicely prepared with fresh fruit, a bottle of wine and nuts, all of which was taken from their own farm and tasted amazing.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, despite the room looking great, we had a big issue with the dampness in the apartment. We only noticed after the second day, maybe because we had to keep the windows closed due to lower temperatures at night. The rooms were so humid, our towels didnt dry off, our bed felt clam, even our clothes after the third day. Signs on the wall of the dampness as well. Additionally the bed was quite uncomfortable after the second night - would recommend only a shorter stay. Without this issue the property would be a clean 10/10 no doubt, but this way it unfortunately had a big impact on our stay

  A very different place to stay. In a good location

  Liked: Beautiful rooms in a gorgeous winery setting on the river. Easy base from which to explore.

  Disliked: Rooms are comfortable. Renovated into old fat houses. Very classy and unusual.

  Ticked all boxes, location, comfort, restful with a great amount of design eye candy and inspiration!

  Liked: Everything about Quinta do Ameal was spot on; location - perfect for exploring northern Portugal. With river activities just a stones throw away. The Quinta itself offers perfect isolation with accommodation spread out we felt like we were the only guests staying! Well manicured gardens, magical break out points where you can read, picnic, walk, swim or just be. The accommodation and in particular design was well considered with comfort at the top of the list. Service friendly and super accommodating - we really had the best three nights stay and will definitely be back!

  Beautiful and peaceful little gem!

  Liked: What a special place! So beautiful and peaceful. Our studio was beautifully furnished, very clean and we loved the little touches like the fresh flowers, walnuts and toothpaste. The bathroom is so luxurious! Lovely breakfast & delicious coffee. We liked that we could choose and change each morning’s order. The staff were wonderful - very flexible and accommodating. We enjoyed the wine tour, river kayaking and local dinner, all of which the team helped us arrange.
