Liked: A 3 store building with all necessary appliances you might need for the stay. Fully equipped kitchen. The owner provides all the help needed, easy and smooth communication.

Disliked: For people with walking difficulties it might be difficult to take all the steps, but this is the traditional house, so there is no other way it could be arranged.

It was a scam, a fraud. Bookers, beware

Liked: Those were in a lockbox

Disliked: We were scammed. We booked the "Casa da Joana by Portus Alacer" for one night. They offered a 2 bedroom apartment but only one bedroom was available cause the other was flooded (attached pictures) so my daughter had to sleep in an uncomfortable couch. We complaint but the host instead of apologizing and looking for a solution, they said it was "our fault" cause we said we were only going to use one room and that was a blatant lie that can be easily verified though the booking information. We request a refund for what we payed and booking.com should be aware of fraudulent activities like this. We have more pictures of the property and we also of have their surprising response. Bookers, beware of scams like this.

Liked: Very spacious - a good value for families (which we were not). Convenient location.

Disliked: Noisy location. Lack of kitchen equipment (no toaster, no spatula, no knives for cooking). No soap in the bathrooms except what seemed to be watered-down liquid soap downstairs.

Liked: The decor is fabulous. Comfortable beds and good hot water. Internet is fast and stable.

Disliked: The kitchen needs to be much better equipped if you are to comfortably cook there. Also, be aware, you cannot park directly outside as it's for taxis. There is plenty of free parking nearby though.
