  Porto Santo Appartment review

  Liked: Fernando the host was extremelly nice and always so hepful and available. We arrived in the morning before the ckeck in hour and he came to pick us up and allow us to enter earlier in the appartment, a gesture we trully appreciated. Same on the day of the check out, we had our ferry back to Funchal at 8 PM and he kept our belongings in the appartment until one hour before the departure time when he brought them back to us. I highly recommend to stay in this property when going to Porto Santo and again a big thank you to Fernando for his kindness during our stay there.

  An unfortunate situation

  Liked: Nicely renovated apartment, ideal for 2 person. Fernando communicates clearly, helped us with transport.

  Disliked: The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor over another apartment. 5-6 guys were listening to loud music under us late into the evening, did not help. But even after they turned it down and were just talking, it felt like they are in the bedroom with us, even with closed windows. The windows, walls are probably very thin, so even moderate talking after midnight is very disturbing. The music is not the hosts responsibility, but the loud isolation is. Moreover the main bed was really hard, so it was difficult to sleep on. It was such a bad experience that we decided to leave one day early, even if we loose money and a day there. The beach is 20 min walk, so probably not the best choice with little kids. After mentioning all this to the host, he complained that we left the apartment in poor condition, because he found sand in the shower and in the sink. Literally at a beach destination where sand is everywhere. So I only recommend it to adventoures people who don't mind to loose some sleep.

  Exceptional

  Liked: Nice apartment with everything you might need. What made our stay really exceptional was our host. Fernando was one of the sweetest, kindest, most welcoming and most helpful people i've ever met. He offered to pick us up from the ferry and drive us to the airport when we left. When we told him, that we were in town for a wedding he made sure to show us where the location was and how to get there. Thank you for everything Fernando! You made our stay amazing!
