  Apartments were great but lodging in general has become very expensive in Porto Santo

  Liked: Great location! Martim and staff were extremely accommodating. Apartment is large with great views. Allowed early check-in. Place to leave bags after check-out so we can enjoy the beach until we had to return to Madeira.

  Disliked: As there is no one to receive you at the apartment, it would have been nice to get instructions on where and how to enter the building ahead of time. When I called Martim, my cell phone was having a difficult time to connect. As I reserved 2 apartments for 12 people, the situation was a little stressful. Once I was able to reach Martim, everything worked out and was even allowed an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated.

  Fantastic spacious and comfortable apartment in the heart of Vila Baleira

  Liked: The apartment is in a great location in the heart of Vila Baleira with a supermarket and a great patisserie/cafe within a minutes walk. It is light and spacious and the massive terrace with great sea and countryside views is a huge bonus. The apartment is decorated with a nice nautical theme and is extremely well equipped - washing machine, dishwasher, large TV, high speed internet. Both bathrooms were excellent. Communication with Martim was easy throughout and he was extremely responsive. He very kindly allowed us to check in very early and check out very late. We would definitely love to stay here again.

  Disliked: The sun loungers are in urgent need of repair - two completely broken and the other two starting to break. A number of lightbulbs need replacing. The double bed has a memory foam mattress which we didn’t find that comfortable. But these are all minor issues and didn’t detract from our enjoyment
