  Price-value not right

  Liked: Near the beach and cafes. Basic flat, fine for short stay. Comfortable beds.

  Disliked: The apartment is super basic and was unfortunately overpriced for what you get (we paid over 400 EUR a night). The apartment is in a row of cheap buildings. The stairway to the flat smells terribly. They advertise a washing machine but there isn’t one in the flat; apparently you can get access to one on demand. I had to ask for the WiFi code. There was no information sheet in the flat. The ac is only in the living room and only one non functional fan in one of the bedrooms but not the other bedroom. The bathroom has a disgusting sewage smell and a rattling ventilation. The front door rattles in the wind. The balcony is looking onto a building site. There is noise at night from the party goers in town passing by and from the building site in the morning. There is a random set of cheap cutlery and plates and are only two non matching wine glasses and the kitchen is tiny, with a camping table and 4 chairs when they sell the place for 5 people. We asked several times for someone to come fix the issues but Pedro just brushed us off with generalities. And we fell victim to the financial scam (someone had all rental details and asked for security payment) which will be outside the control of the manager but I have never experienced with any other booking.com apartment.

  Our host was relaxed and welcoming and our stay was pleasant. We had a rental car, but the property has a great location

  Liked: Clean spacious two bedroom apartment. Located right by local eateries and cafes. Within walking distance of the beach. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, beautiful balcony off the kitchen to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning

  Perfect stay in Sagres!

  Liked: Apartment is very spacious, bright and clean. It has a great kitchen, balcony. Air conditioning working as heater as well. We liked our stay. Everything just like in the photos provided by owner.

  Extraordinary!

  Liked: Everything! The apartment is spacious and comfy, it’s really easy to feel “like home” here. Host is incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to support if needed (I had a personal circumstance and he showed so much flexibility and willingness to help, extraordinary 👏🏻 Location is also handy;) very grateful for the treatment, space and experience overall. Recommend 100%

  Good

  Liked: The place is very tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. The host is very responsive. It was ideal for kids given all the games, puzzles, bins sacs stuffed toys. Comfy beds. The sun umbrella was a life saver!!

  Disliked: Unfortunately there were often unpleasant smells in the apartment (twice it smelled like sewage in the bathroom). Definitely not the fault of the host (the place was really faultlessly clean) but probably the building infrastructure, maybe the strong winds outside blew through the piping. I underestimated how cold and windy Sagres was, though we were only using it as a home base so it wasn’t a big deal. Despite the town being small a sleepy, there were very loud drunk people passing by our windows almost every night which was a little disruptive to the sleep. Overall, zero complaints to the host but it’s just a personal report.

  Nice apartment but smelly sofa & no refund - don't go until you confirm that it's been cleaned

  Liked: Overall nice apartment, but we had to leave because of the below. Once that's fixed I would recommend it, however the host has not refunded us, so I cannot be sure you wouldn't be treated the same if any other problems came up

  Disliked: the main sofa smelt like wet dog, or like it had been left damp for several. We stayed the first night anf I sat on the floor whilst we watched TV. The next day we left, 2 nights early, to move somewhere else, as we didn't believe that the sofa could be deep cleaned whilst we were there. We were not refunded by the host so we left unhappy with our stay. It's hard to recommend staying here and it's a shame as the apartment is really nice. I just wouldn't stay there until you confirm the sofa is clean and also be wary if something goes wrong.
