  Liked: A Place That Truly Felt Like Home ❤️ Honestly, this was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I enjoyed every moment here, and for the first time in a while, I truly felt like I was living in my own home rather than just staying somewhere temporarily. The location is fantastic, with everything you need just a short walk away, including supermarkets, the city centre, and all the essential services. But what really makes this place special is Teresa, the wonderful owner. She is such a lovely, warm, and fun person that you feel as if you’ve known her for years. If you need anything and she can help, she will happily do so, because being helpful and making people feel welcome is simply part of who she is. The house also has a fully equipped kitchen that you can use freely, including a microwave, toaster, and fridge. Teresa even provides tea and coffee for free, which is such a thoughtful touch. There’s also a lovely balcony where you can sit, enjoy a meal, or have a smoke. Not in the room, but next to the kitchen. But honestly, the best part of staying here is something you can’t describe with facilities or location: the chance to meet new people who, in a surprisingly short time, start to feel like a part of you. You share conversations, laughter, and little moments that turn into unforgettable memories. I’m leaving this place with a full heart and memories I’ll always cherish. Thank you, Teresa, for making this place feel like home. ❤️ Highly recommended to anyone looking for more than just a place to stay — a place where you feel you belong.

  A wonderful experience!

  Liked: Teresa is a wonderful host and a lovely person. Every detail is covered. I felt at home straight away, as feels just like home from home. You will feel welcomed and looked after above and beyond expectations. The area is very beautiful. The house is really lovely, well equipped with anything you need, very comfortable bed, cozy feel, places to relax and Teresa has really great taste and style. I highly recommend to anyone visiting around Viseu to stay here as it’s close to everything and easy to travel around, the bus station is also only a short walk away. You will want to stay longer. I am very much looking forward to visiting again and I booking my stay with Teresa and her adorable companion Lucas the dog. Perfect stay:)

  A charming “time capsule” in the middle of old town Viseu

  Liked: Staying at Casa da Judiaria Velha is like traveling back in times in a “time capsule.” It is a meticulously restored and nicely decorated 15th century house situated in the middle of what used to be a Jewish quarter of Viseu. In “modern terms,” it is right in the middle of the old town Viseu and literally on the back of Viseu’s 12th century Cathedral. Perfect location aside, I will give full “five stars” for everything else: comfortable rooms, cool living/social area, fully equipped kitchen, and great outside terrace for a nice sunset dinner. But the greatest asset of this place is its owner: Teresa, an accomplished historian of Viseu and genuine champion of her hometown. I am very grateful to Teresa for both: offering a relaxed inviting place to stay and providing many interesting insights into the history of Viseu!
