  This is not a three star hotel - avoid

  Liked: Nothing

  Disliked: How this property attained three stars is beyond me. The room offered was not large enough to accommodate two people and two dogs (as requested) and the en-suite bathroom was minuscule and basic. The house was extremely difficult to find and, partially due to a road closure, could only be reached by farm tracks through the forest. We didn’t meet the owner, only a lady who was not very helpful or friendly. We decided not to stay and found a ‘proper’ three star hotel near Santander. I shall be pushing booking.com for a full refund. The photos on the website were misleading.

  Enquired about the restaurant, owner very rude, ended up going back to town to get takeout food and beer. Will not recom

  Welcoming owner. Interior decorated in traditional style. Be careful when using navigation to get there

  Disliked: The road going towards the hotel goes through the woods, hard to get through at night. By default Google maps navigation may not lead you down the right road. Do not follow navigation when it takes you from a normal road to a country road. There must be another new road in good condition.

  Wonderful hosts and comfortable stay

  Liked: Wonderful hosts. introduced us to their family and when we mentioned we were going on to Santander the next day, they insisted on driving us to show us a short cut to the motorway. Undoubtedly saved us over half an hour on our journey. Room was clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend.
