Exceptional
Disappointing. Needs money spent to make it better
Liked: It is a lovely location on the edge of Albarracin. Having parking is a real bonus.
Disliked: It was very difficult to contact the host both by us and booking.com. The main points that disappointed us was the broken umbrella which had been like that for a long time; only 1 wine glass; tiles around oven chipped and dirty. Some were missing so plaster showing; entry to casa dangerous. Suggest you read the reviews which give a good score as they also made similar comments. Whole casa needs money spent on repairs. We left 1 day early but, in spite of contacting booking.com on a number of occasions, he refused to refund us. Booking.com gave us 50% as a goodwill gesture but the host refused recompense.
Nice place to stay for a few days in a beautiful area
Liked: The house is in a very quiet location with an easy short flat walk to the centre of town. It has great parking for two cars which is easy to get in and out of. The biggest supermarket is also with in walking distance although it is rather limited and a bit expensive. Great views of the town walls and surrounding countryside. The house itself is rather quirky. It has an old style charm with thick walls, old small shuttered windows, wooden doors, an old fireplace with stove( not in use) and a small Juliette balcony to the main bedroom. There is a modern pellet burner which we didn't need to use. If you like modern you probably wouldn't enjoy being here. The living kitchen area is on the small side and a little cramped. The wifi works well and the sofa is comfortable. There is also a handy downstairs toilet and a large cupboard with washing machine iron etc. All of which worked well. Upstairs there is a good shower room and two bedrooms, Plenty of hot water for the shower. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely views from the windows. Even though it was very hot during the day with the fans provided and by closing down the shutters it was possible to keep the house cool. As the mornings were very cool it helped to open up the house to assist in cooling it down before the sun started to take effect. Outside is a very nice patio area with a large table and several chairs where it was pleasant to sit out in the evening and eat.. There is also a BBQ which we didn't use. I won't say much about Albarracín except that it is as beautiful as they say it is. Some great walking to be done and some nice restaurants
Disliked: There were several items which were broken or didn't work well. Nothing to cause great problems during a short stay over a long weekend and the owner is going to get them fixed Nothing to do with the house but when arriving by car sat nav tries to take you in via the entry near the supermarket. This entrance is via a narrow blind left hand corner between two houses. We saw a person on an electric scooter speed round here at high speed. Fortunately nothing was coming the other way!.The house is closer to the other end of the road in any way and the turn into it is much safer.It can be approached from the town or from a turn off the Teruel road. We had used the latter on arrival and stuck to it when going out in the car.
Liked: Cosy small place with nice patio, bbq and parking spot.
Disliked: No oven and no kettle. Cooking water took a very long time on the hob.
Everything was perfect, looking forward to come again
