better than the posh looking place up the road
Liked: this hotel turned out to be much better than I expected. The inside is much better than it looks from the outside. The room I had was clean and quiet. Who knew a featureless looking place on a roundabout could deliver like that?
Disliked: the breakfast was limited but it did the job
Good location, beside terminal bus and train station
Liked: It’s old design hotel, but well maintained, the room is big and got balcony.
Tired and dated
Liked: Convenient for the bus station and rail station
Disliked: Everything felt a little tired and dated. Great if you like being back in the 70's but I don't. Generally the communal areas didn't feel welcoming and rooms were pretty basic.
Clean and comfortable
Liked: Walking distance from ferry terminal ( maybe 15 minutes) and right next to bus station Hotel a bit worn looking but clean and comfortable with large room. Nice breakfast and dinner Not bad.
Liked: The location for transport was brilliant
Disliked: The lift was a bit dodgy, the bar was deserted and not open when we arrived back at 10:30pm and the breakfast menu was a bit basic. We found a live bug in the bedding.
