Good
A central, if basic, retreat
Liked: Location is 5 mins from the train station or air bus stop at Luceros, so very convenient for this part of town. There’s also a good tapas place round the corner( Lizarran) very reasonable. There’s a lift and the room was spacious and at least had a table, 2 chairs and a wardrobe, but no bed lights, only one main light. Unfortunately the view was internal, but at least it had a window and was quiet (room 3). The bed was really comfortable and there was an air conditioner. Fine for a couple of days basic accommodation. These are the positives!
Disliked: OK, so check in details were rather last minute which panicked me a little. There is someone to take your details (and a €50 deposit!), but she is only there 4-8pm and she wasn’t exactly friendly (a smile would help). After 8pm they charge a late check in fee. The first thing l noticed in the room were ants - well they get everywhere. But there was only one or two, so no problem compared to having cockroaches or bedbugs, which were absent, thank goodness. There was no mirror in the room, which is not much to expect and lack of lighting, which l’ve mentioned. Other facilities like the 2 shared bathrooms were basic. No hand towels and the shower was broken in both, so you had to hold it, whilst showering (not easy!). No plug in the sink, which is not unusual in Spain, it seems. Shampoo very basic (ie cheap) and there was a mop left there, so a lot of excess water about. The kitchen was minimal with no coffee or tea provided, or even a fridge. No plates, saucers or cups, so if this is a B&B as described, how are you supposed to make breakfast?!

Liked: Location - very close to the Old Town, restaurants, airport bus, and tram. Area felt safe.
Disliked: Air con was a bit noisy but it kept us cool. Walls are thin so you can hear neighbours clearly but it was pretty quiet when we were there on a Saturday night.
The place was exactly what I expected—perhaps even better, considering the price
Liked: The location is really good, close to the reailway station. A very decent place to stay for the price—clean and equipped with all the essentials.
Disliked: The noise from the street was incredibly loud; the clatter of the glass recycling bin and the noise of garbage trucks around midnight and before 7 a.m. kept me awake despite using earplugs. So, not the best place for light sleepers.
