  Amazing stay with only one small complaint

  Liked: The house was beautiful. From the moment we walked in and saw straight through to the back windows to the sea, we were in love with the house. Between the outdoor kitchen and the huge, covered outdoor area, we basically spent all of our waking hours outside. The pool was warm enough to use even though the weather was on the cooler side for late May (mid-20s). We would absolutely come back.

  Disliked: The only issue we had is that the hot water was nowhere near sufficient for 13 people. We'd not seen any mention of this in previous reviews so we thought something must be wrong, but the owner sent over the handyman to take a look and he said everything was fine. The water for the day would usually run out after 1 maybe 2 showers and then the other 11 of us would have cold showers for the rest of the day. The outside shower was on a separate system, but even that one started to run cold after about 3 quick showers. It seemed like the boiler was maybe only set to run a few hours of the day and we tried to inform the owner of this, but she insisted there was no problem. Hopefully since our visit this has been rectified.

  Absolutely perfect for a family, would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely week away. I would book if you are happy

  Liked: Excellent facilities, beautiful view, easy access to help if needed with cleaner and maintenance visits.

  Disliked: Location was beautiful, but not a great deal within taxi travel distance. Path down the beach incredibly tricky to navigate with children/pushchairs but we managed it!

  Such a wonderful villa

  Liked: The property is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and every amenity a large family could wish for – and more – to make their holiday perfect. It’s within walking distance of a handful of lovely restaurants along the marina front, though the steep path may be challenging for those with limited mobility. The pool was a huge hit with both kids and adults, and the poolside bar was a fantastic bonus – the ice machines were a real lifesaver in the heat! We were so impressed with the spaciousness and quality of the property, and we’d return in a heartbeat.

  Amazing place

  Liked: Villa Julia is an excellent vacation spot, spacious and well-maintained with all the necessary amenities. The pool is warm and inviting, carefully tended daily by a gardener. The stunning view overlooks Marina del Este and a charming small sandy beach. Do note, however, the path down to the beach is very steep. The villa grounds are beautifully maintained. A car is essential for exploring nearby towns such as Herradura, Nerja, and Almuñécar. Be prepared for narrow roads and tight parking, requiring either skilled driving or a smaller vehicle. The facilities are very convenient, featuring three dishwashers, two standard refrigerators, two beverage fridges, and two ice makers—including one located conveniently at the pool level, just one level below. The villa’s quiet setting away from busier neighborhoods makes it perfect for relaxation. Housekeeping services are provided every three days, adding comfort and convenience. Some rooms are slightly small with basic furnishings, and there were occasional ants noted in certain areas, but these minor issues did not detract significantly from our overall enjoyment. We had a fabulous vacation, greatly enhanced by daily sunshine. Many thanks to our gracious host!
