  A nice little stopover

  Liked: Great value for money and perfectly positioned between Caminito del rey and the airport in a lovely little town. Perfect for what we needed for a one night stay before flying home. We asked for a kettle and a couple of cups and the staff were very obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

  Disliked: A bath plug would have been nice 😊

  A nice town not far from El Caminito

  Liked: Alora is an old town spread across a hill (so expect a lot of uphill walking). Hostal Duran is close to the centre (& generally everything). I am sure the building has some history to it. Bed was comfortable, the shower hot (eventually-the sign inside the room door requests patience, it will come...and it did!) and I paid a tiny amount extra for a balcony, which i almost spent more time o that in the room! Amazing view.

  Disliked: Being under the Malaga flightpath, you did have planes flying in till late which disrupted sleep and I suspect, due to my own stupidity (leaving the balcony door open at twilight) a couple of little midges got in. From a town perspective, I enjoyed El Yunque & Chismo, but i stopped on a Sun and Mon so they were the two quietest days, so I expect other nights will be busier. I didn't appreciate the youngsters rattling round 'the circuit' on their mopeds, motorbikes, trikes and quads.
