  Liked: Everything would have been fine it weren’t for everything that went wrong.

  Disliked: In 15 years of using Booking.com, this is unfortunately the first time we have ever had to make a complaint about an accommodation. The stay could have been enjoyable, but the experience was extremely disappointing and fell far below the standards we have come to expect. 1. Check-in was confusing and unnecessarily stressful. We were not informed beforehand that online check-in was required. Upon arrival, there was no reception or staff available to assist us, only a few phone numbers and a QR code on the side of the door with the message “if you need help.” We had no Wi-Fi access and had to use mobile roaming data to contact the property and request the check-in link. We then had to ask separately for the Wi-Fi password, which we finally received around 30 minutes later. This was a very poor start to our stay and could easily have been avoided by providing clear check-in instructions before arrival. Guests should not have to figure out the check-in process themselves after arriving, particularly when there is no reception or internet access available. 2. The condition of the room and the lack of housekeeping were disappointing. The shutter was broken throughout our stay, meaning we could not properly open the window to let in fresh air or enjoy natural light. The bathroom had no window either, and the dampness and black mould became increasingly noticeable during our stay. These conditions made the room uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about its maintenance and overall condition. Daily housekeeping was explicitly advertised as an included service, yet the housekeeping was provided during our stay only once cause of the issue raised with the toilet paper - see below. Despite raising complaints daily, the issue was never properly resolved. We only discovered later that housekeeping was apparently available upon request, despite being advertised as a daily service.

  STAFF BAD, room ok

  Liked: In a city and even official motorcycle parking about 150m from hostal.

  Disliked: After 5 phone calls, i get staff on line and they did not spek any english, only "go to whats up, info there" Check in took 1.5 hour, counting from our arrival to hostal!!! Staff sent registration message to the other hostal customer and by luck he come to corridor and ask am i Juha. He sent that message for me and after on line reservation, NOTHING. Then more calks and allways answer "i do not spek english, go to whats up". But i get no info there until 1.5 hours... message: check your e-mail. What i have done, when we arrived to Avila. And finally, there were room & door code.

  Liked: I was upgraded for some reason so I can't rate the room I had booked. The room I had was v good. You can store a bike in the room but you have to haul it up to the first floor

  Disliked: The check in. Having received bogus WhatsApp supposedly from Booking.com I was wary when the hotel send something from wofyrooms. It is the check-in. There is no reception. You even have to get a WiFi code by WhatsApp. It may be easier for the owners but it's a pain in the backside for a guest.
