Ávila was lovely
Liked: Central location
Disliked: Poor instructions re access - told it was ‘very easy’ to find the key -which was two blocks away & in the driveway of another building! 😳
Liked: We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was very spacious, bright, and comfortable. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area and access everything we needed. We would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again.

Cold and Uncomfortable Night
Disliked: First of all, the structure of the house was totally weird. It looked ok in the individual pictures, but when you put them together, it is just strange, and it looks more like an office converted into a home. Most of the closets were locked. Only one open closet was filled with their personal clothing and other belongings. We had to leave all our stuff on the living room floor. There was only one towel for each person, and not even for the bathroom floor. The bedrooms were extra small - only beds could fit in. The house was cold, but the temperature controller was locked, too. The blankets were paper-thin, and there were no extra blankets. We couldn't sleep well.
Liked: The apartment is inside the city walls in the main shopping area. The apartment is light and airy and very modern, with two shower rooms. The main living area is large but the bedrooms are quite small. Very close to all the tourist sites and many restaurants. We used the parking recommended by the host, which was about 400 meters from the apartment under a different building. The host provided very clear instructions of how to get into and out of the garage.
Disliked: The bedroom was a bit small such that one side of the double bed was against the wall.
Read the instructions very carefully!
Liked: Can't fault the location. Very nice flat.
Disliked: The instructions get sent on the day of arrival. If you are like me, you FAR prefer the instructions the day before so you can study what to do in what order, because on the day you are travelling and driving and sight seeing and not in a position to read detailed instructions properly. This meant I missed a key part of those instructions and much stress then ensued. The host was very helpful by text message and obviously I was annoying him because I was asking things in the instructions. But I was flustered, I was driving not my car on the wrong side of the road in very narrow passages and I was tired and hungry and hot.
