Exceptional
Liked: Great location in the old town, our host Iker was exceptional. He gave us information about places to visit in around Bermeo, including restaurants, bars and fabulous beaches. He also gave us invaluable advice about using the public transport, which is excellent.
Disliked: Nothing
Disliked: Property smells of strong tobacco smoke from upstairs apartment and hallway. Hallway is very steep and difficult to manage with kids and luggage.
Really well equipped apartment in the middle of the old town
Liked: We chose Bermeo to be able to enjoy slow life, the ocean, the historic touch of the old fishing village, the closeness to both nature and bigger cities of Bilbao and San Sebastian. We got it all and Iker's apartment suited really well - true old town vibe of the house, silence during sleeping hours, all you need utilities were available. As a BONUS: Iker had prepered many recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants (btw best breakfast place of the whole town is just in front of the house), he helped us settle the public parking and even a public transport card was available. The only two things you need to be aware of: 1) the house and the whole town recuire you to love climbing up and down a lot of stairs 2) while driving around, its all uphill or downhill and rather curvy.
Disliked: Though it was not a big issue for us, it is a bit uncomfortable to carry your luggage up on the high staircase to the 2nd floor. As the weather was very moody during our stay, it was quite cold at the apartment first, but there were portable radiators available, so that solved it during the colder rainy days.
An excellent Host who is clearly interested in his clients having a good experience
Liked: The property is excellent. It is on the second floor which may be restrictive for some. We didn’t find it a problem. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. It had two electrical drying plates which was very nice to supplement the clothes washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and the patio perfect for two people. The location was perfect with a small coffee shop 3 meters from the front door. Clearly, one of the main strengths of this property was Iker, the owner. In our travels which probably accessed a few hundred facilities, Iker presented the most complete assessment of services and places of interest for travellers to their community. It was amazing and relevant to our interests. Thanks Iker.

Fantastic place
Liked: Great location, Kepa explained everything and even gave us a tour around the town. Coffee shop on the other side of a street is great, 10min walk to the lovely beach. Beautiful town, beautiful area!
Nice apartment that is well equipped

Disliked: Like all apartments in the old city its quite dark and the couch bed was not particularily comfortable. Weekends in the center can be loud…
