Liked: Mavi, the owner, is very efficient. She responds immediately and gives you honest, helpful information about the area and the city of Bilbao itself. She’s also kind and willing to answer all your questions. The apartment is clean and you have everything you need.
Disliked: I chose this location because I wanted to have the experience of being in a less touristy area of the city. It feels more authentic to me. However, for those who want to be in the very center or those who don’t like walking, it may be a little removed from the areas where everything happens. Anyway, it’s a 20-25 minute walk to the Guggenheim and 15 minutes to the old town. The subway is 5-10 minutes away, and it’s cheap and very easy to ride.
Cozy and spacious tourist apartment off the tourist trail
Liked: The apartment is cozy and spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's nice to be able to prepare and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or afternoon coffee without having to venture out to a crowded restaurant. The neighborhood is a typical residential area 20 minutes walk from the town center, and is a good experience of local life while still being in a convenient area. Be aware that the area is hilly so you have to walk up and down several outdoor staircases when going downtown. But all of Bilbao is like that anyway.
Liked: Way bigger than I expected, and good kitchen facilities!
Nice apartment near old town
Liked: The apartment is cosy. Kitchen is very well equipped. We loved the owner let us to use metro card for locals. Thanks to this we saved some money for better prices of tickets.
Disliked: The bathroom door needs fixing. Its making crazy cracking noise everytime we open/close.
Great apartment with plenty of space
Liked: Really spacious and clean apartment. Communication was great with the host and really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended.
