Great place at the right locatio
Liked: B48 easily exceeded pur expectations, the location is perfect, close to everything in Bilbao, with a great view of the city and close to restaurants and the an historic center. The apartment is nicely decorated, and super clean. B48 is eager to make your stay very good, they even helped in securing parking close to the apartment.
Disliked: The B48 signage is small, not easy to see, and although GPS lead us to the address, it took a while to find it, it is a busy avenue, dropping the luggage a little inconvenient, regardless, I definitely would stay there again.
Great city centre location but improvements can be made to the comfort of the apartment
Liked: The location in the city centre was perfect. The check-in and communication with the staff was super simple. We had an issue with cigarette smoke smell on the flat and the staff immediately proposed to give us another apartment. Overall the apartment was very clean and modern.
Disliked: Unfortunately we changed apartment but it also had a cigarette smoke smell coming from the ventilation system. The bathroom flooring also needed changing as it was partially flooded below and not in a good state. The apartment could come with a few more amenities (coffee, kitchen cloth etc.)
Liked: The location is really good, next to the river, close to the Guggenheim museum and the main shopping area. The insulation of the room is great as well! although there were concerts outside on the street we didn’t hear any noise in the apartment.
Disliked: There were lumps on the bathroom floor which made it impossible to close the bathroom door. Also although the description of the apartment says that they offer parking places, when we asked about it the owner told us that they actually do not have parking places and that we had to reserve ourselves. We had to pay a bit more for parking, about 22€ a day, and it was not easy to find a parking.
I am sure there are better stays in Bilbao
Liked: Great location to explore the city on foot.
Disliked: We stayed in room 101 - don’t know a out the rest of the rooms but we were dissapointed. First of all, the aircon was not functioning. You could turn it on but practically it did not cool the room at all, just circulated the air with the same temperature. This has been clearly and outstanding issue for a longer time, as was mentioned earlier in google and booking.com reviews. Also, there were two fans in the room already. The second issue is related to the bathroom floor, which was getting wet from the floor most likely due to a small water pipe issue below the shower. This created constant moist, wet feeling and a related smell when entering the bathroom. The wooden flooring was also deformed due to the constant wet. We are quite confident that this issue must have been also outstanding for a while… This is a fully automated hotel, which is perfectly fine - but of course there is no personnel on site. We contacted the company over whatsapp over their virtual reception. They have been polite and understood both issues, although they played it as they heard about them for the first time. They claimed that they “restarted the aircon remotely” without of course any results. After this they recommended to open the windows as the evenings on bilbao are nice and chill. Which is true, and of course we did (without the obvious advice…) but this apartment is facing the very busy Buenos Aires Kalea, with heavy traffic, trams passing and quite some people walking around till late so the noise levels with the windows open were sub-optimal for the night:) Also they promised to have a look on the bathroom flooring after we left. After my repeated complaints, we received 10% back of the total fee, which is indeed a nice gesture but did not offset our bad experience (could have offered an other room upfront when i first reported the issues right after our arrival). All in all, bad experience. These issues were clearly known, yet the room has been rented to us.
