Home away from home
Liked: Very clean and tidy, nice bathroom, lovely location
Disliked: I struggled to get in at first but once in, no problems.
Not impressed and wouldn’t stay again
Liked: The position
Disliked: Plugged my phone in to charge and when I pulled the plug out, the whole plug socket came out of the wall, quite literally.! The lamp was broken. There was an old grape on the floor, hairs in the shower and dirty cupboards. A coffee machine with no coffee pods, not even a couple to get you started. Other people in the building were extremely noisy, banging doors and the walls were so thin you could hear everything. In fairness, I did contact the owners but apart from them offering to clean, there wasn’t anything else they could do.
Clean but with more rules than amenities
Liked: We stayed in the HUGHET apartment. It's beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, not far from the Guggenheim. The kitchen is well-equipped. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. The landlord provides all the necessary information regarding check-in and check-out. An underground parking space is available for an additional, acceptable fee.
Disliked: The HUGHET apartment is quite cramped, and after folding out the sofa and clothes dryer, there's absolutely no room to move around. The convertible sofa bed is a bad joke; it's very uncomfortable, and the sleeping surface isn't even flat. I haven’t had such a bad sleep ever. The apartment has very detailed written rules, violating which carries fines. The worst part is that you have to cover the sofa bedding yourself and remove the covers before leaving also by yourself. The last wash of dishes must be done by hand, as it's clearly stated that you can't leave the dishwasher running or not emptied. The landlord is not willing to discuss anything like extending your parking time. The elevator to the underground parking requires an additional key, which the landlord doesn't provide, so you have to unpack at the gate, drive down to the parking lot, and then climb the stairs. The parking space and the drive ramp are tight even for Spanish standards.
Liked: I liked prepared towels on the beds, access to TV for the nights with kids, ironing board and the iron itself
Disliked: Blue welcome book feel like a book of threats- take the trash as otherwise will fine you, make sure dishwasher is completed before you leave, make sure no stains on towels or sheets as you will be fine... it felt like they expect the guest to keep it sterile and in the meanwhile, despite the late check in, not a single tea bag, coffee pod (although there's coffee machine), sugar, no dish soap but expectations to keep everything pristine, it felt too much considering we were staying for the night. Bunk bed wasn't mentioned on the booking and has no protective sides, so my kids had to sleep together on sofa bed to make it safe, no doors between rooms, so no privacy between 6 people. Only 2 blankets for 6 people, thankfully it was a warm night so kids used bedsheets
