Very good
Liked: Lovely big room and bathroom. Easy check-in and luggage storage ( only for check-in, no storage for checkout) Fridge in the room is a bonus, allowing food to be stored if you wanted to cook breakfast. Excellent shared kitchen area with washing machines, dryers, ironing/ ironing board and full cooking facilities. Great free Aircon. Local area provides cafes, shops and restaurants. Easy walk into Bilbao centre in 30 min ( stadium) 45 min to Gugenhein. Or 2 stops ( 5min max) on train.
Disliked: Room 12...Balcony room...Extra bed in the room made moving around and access to fridge awkward. Balcony is only a Juliet style one, so no seating outside. No curtains, therefore the only way to get privacy is to lower the electric metal shutters...noisy if late at night or early morning.
Liked: Good location, comfy beds, free public parking suggested by the host
Disliked: Our room did not have a normal window and it was not possible to ventilate during our stay.. there is an automatic glass hatch in the ceiling, but it cannot be folded completely and cannot be opened in case of rain.. and it rained often.. the sheets had traces of mold, there was a lot of humidity in the room even with the air conditioning on for dehumidification
Totally worth it
Liked: Excellent and clean room, approachable staff, wonderful experience. The window that opens to the sky is interesting, but i have grown to like it.
Noisy AC
Liked: I liked that the check-in was completely autonomous and didn't need to have a card/key with me. Just had to remember a code. The room was clean.
Disliked: The AC was making a really annoying sound like leaking gas/pouring water and the only solution was turning it down until it barely did anything... It was impossible to sleep with it on. There was 0 sound proofing. I could hear the phone ring of the neighbour room, walking kids in the hotel corridor, etc. The bed was noisy, combined with bad sound proofing, you can just imagine.
Terrible
Liked: Terrible place. If you had an emergency, you’d be in trouble. Horrible location and no cab service. The woman at the little time slot for reception struggled with her English. This is like a really bad Airbnb without coffee. I had to struggle to get an extra towel and they’re only changed every three days. Avoid! Dr. Clark
