Liked: The only thing that is worth even mentioning that institution is good location.
Disliked: I am very serious guest that booked single room for one night stay, paying 130euros for not more then 5sq m train like cabin, with shared bathroom with other people. Noone from tjlhe reception replied to phone call when me and taxi driver where figuring out this so call ("automated" ) entrance. Better investing in staff, pillows, beds, climatisations. We are not in Paris, but Bilbao so one embarassing 5sqm room is valued 130euros. I never give such direct review but this institution has nothing to do with professionalism, quality etc. Even my email is bombed with 2981991989 messages during entire lifecycle. I had the impression that the business wanted to try to doublecharge the room separately out of booking, which i habe of course proofs to demonstrate doubts over that. Single room was terrible, disaster....
Excellent location with charming enclosed balconies
Liked: I loved the location and the fact that my room had two very pretty enclosed balconies, one looking onto the square in front of the cathedral, the other up the street beside the building. Lovely for people-watching and imagining that I was a Bilbao lady of many years ago drinking tea, eating cheesecake and watching what was going on! These enclosed balconies seem to be quite a feature of Bilbao. I have absolutely no problem with shared bathroom facilities. The room had a basin anyway, and there were 2 shared toilet/shower rooms. At no point did I encounter anyone wanting to use the toilet or shower when I did; to all intents and purposes they were mine! The electronic automated key thing worked excellently well; I had been a bit worried about it as I’m not very tech-savvy. However, I got in ok and was pleased to see that a key card had been left for me, which I could use on the internal doors. I had a lovely stay!
Liked: Rockefer Rooms are in the middle of Casco Viejo, good transport possibilities,plenty of bars, restaurants, shops in the area.
Disliked: Very niosy
Perfect location for a short exploration of the city
Liked: Location, self check-in, room view and clarity of guidelines to check-in
Disliked: Noise at night due to poor quality of window pains, spaces could have been a bit bigger. Furniture is a bit old - room for improvement on that.
Liked: Great location in the old Town, room although small was comfortable
Disliked: Check in was difficult, there was no one on front desk, could not enter the building, if not the cleaning lady, communication only via Whatsup but responses were prompt
Liked: Good location in centre of old town. Quiet room in inner part of builfing
Disliked: Very small dark room. Nowhere to hang towels
