  I really wanted this hotel to live up to expectations

  Liked: The hotel was clean, housekeeping was excellent, and the location was both convenient and peaceful.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, too many other aspects of the stay felt mediocre at best. The approaching end of the season was far too obvious, and the overall impression was that standards had started to slip. At breakfast, cutlery was apparently something guests had to hunt for themselves, as knives, forks and spoons were missing from the tables about half the time. Of the three coffee machines, only one was often working. On one morning, none of them worked at all, resulting in considerable queues. The wine dispenser was also out of order for two evenings. The food served at both lunch and dinner was epically bland. Of course, taste is subjective, but this was blandness on a scale that deserves special mention. The elevators were another frustration, stopping at practically every floor as if they had no intelligence whatsoever. The air conditioning was equally disappointing. Getting the unit to switch to cooling mode required repeated, seemingly random button pressing. Fortunately, reception had a working demonstration unit to show guests how to activate the cooling function. The minibar fridge in the room, meanwhile, did not cool at all. The small gym was not much better. The treadmills were out of order because of a storm two days earlier, according to the explanation given. Fair enough, storms happen. However, the treadmills remained unrepaired throughout our entire week-long stay. Finally, the service attitude was underwhelming. With a few notable exceptions, the staff did not convey the level of warmth, attentiveness or willingness to help that one would expect from a hotel of this kind.   Gorgeous hotel, we loved it and highly recommend

  Liked: We absolutely loved our stay in Talayot. It's a gorgeous hotel and perfect for a relaxing break. The staff are lovely, food is very good and the whole place is clean, comfortable spacious and relaxing. There are two pool and bar areas so loads of space to find somewhere to sit. Great choice of cocktails and other drinks which are all excellent value, especially with all inclusive. We loved the food at every meal we had. The room was big and comfortable with a gorgeous view out to sea. The area had lots of shops, bars and restaurants with plenty of atmosphere but it never felt crowded or covered in tourists. We loved everything about our holiday and would definitely go back again, and highly recommend staying here.

  Liked: We spent almost a week at this charming hotel. The all-inclusive meals, especially the dinners, were fantastic—I hadn't eaten seafood like that in a long time. Practically everything is in a great location, with the sea and beach right there. In the evenings, the music was fantastic, and Gabriel the bartender was super, making very delicious cocktails. The beds in the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I hope to return again!

  Bellow expectation

  Liked: Food selection was okish. They did send a bottle of cava to celebrate my partner birthday

  Disliked: My room had a lot of problems. Never offer a room like that to a guest. I feel i was not welcomed properly due to poor standards
