Where to stay in Cala Millor: the best areas

Promenade

Cala Millor beach is lined by a pedestrian promenade that runs around almost the whole bay. On one side is the sand and on the other an unbroken row of terraces, shops and ice-cream parlours. Staying on this strip, you walk down to the beach in your swimsuit and stroll at night without taking the car. Families choose it because the water stays shallow for many metres.

Cala Bona

To the north, Cala Bona keeps its small harbour with fishing boats and restaurants by the water. The beaches are small and protected by breakwaters, with calm water. The promenade links up with Cala Millor, so you can walk to the big beach. Couples and older travellers who prefer a calmer atmosphere and dinner looking at the boats choose it.

Costa dels Pins

Past Cala Bona, Costa dels Pins is a development among pine trees with villas and some large resorts. There are hardly any shops here and the coast is rockier, with small beaches. In return you get calm, gardens and shade. It is a choice for people who want rest and have a car to get to the long beach or to Son Servera.

Sa Coma and S’Illot

Sa Coma is on the other side of Punta de n’Amer and has its own sandy beach with a promenade and holiday complexes. A little further south, S’Illot is a small cove with a Talayotic settlement next to the village. From here, Porto Cristo and the Caves of Drach are close. It attracts families looking for a smaller setting and trips along the east coast.

Son Servera

Son Servera is the inland town that much of Cala Millor belongs to. It has stone houses, a square with terraces and the unfinished new church, which is used for concerts. It is the option for anyone who prefers a Majorcan atmosphere and does not mind driving to the beach.
