  Liked: The location and staff

  Disliked: Disappointing stay – definitely not the luxury experience we expected We booked this hotel mainly because of the spa facilities and the promise of lovely, upmarket rooms. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Firstly, there was an issue with payment. We had already paid through Booking.com, but apparently the hotel had cancelled the payment, meaning we had to wait for a refund before we could pay the hotel directly. I'm not sure who was responsible, but it caused unnecessary stress. Thankfully, the hotel were kind enough to let us check in while we waited for the refund. The room itself was disappointing and looking rather tired and shabby. There was rust around the bathroom mirror and sink, and the bath tiles could definitely have done with a proper clean. Even worse, on our first night there was an absolutely awful smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. It was so bad that we had to put plugs in the plugholes and keep the toilet lid down to try to contain the smell. Not exactly what you expect from a hotel advertising itself as upmarket! The spa was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, but sadly that was another huge disappointment. There was a horrible smell of drains throughout, particularly in the steam room, which was so unpleasant that we lasted literally two minutes before leaving. We mentioned these issues when checking out, but the response was rather underwhelming. We were simply given an email address to complain to, and nobody seemed particularly concerned about our experience. It's such a shame because we were really looking forward to a relaxing, luxurious stay. Instead, we were left feeling disappointed, stressed and wondering what exactly we'd paid the extra money for. For a hotel charging upmarket prices, the cleanliness, maintenance and spa facilities really need some serious attention. Sadly, we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

  Very nice hotel with huge potential but with some disappointments

  Liked: Very delicious food for breakfast and dinner, each dish we tried we were not disappointed. Location with a nice with and the beach around 10 min by walk. Pool area perfect for families with kids.

  Disliked: The temperature in common areas especially restaurant where breakfast and dinner was served was very high like 30-32 degrees. Even if the aircon was on, I don’t know if it was cooling. Even though the food was delicious it was hard to enjoy the food in such a temperature. One time I needed to breastfeed my newborn in the restaurant because of the heat and I was asked by staff to move somewhere because „ it is a place for eating” it was very rude. For this price I would expect to have and aircon cooled restaurant even a bit to have a relief coming from the outside heat.

  Liked: The location was awesome. You could walk and swim in the ocean within eight minutes. There was a dive shop very close by for diving and snorkeling. It was just down the street from Botanic, which is the best gourmet organic farm to table food I’ve ever had. The staff was very very helpful and answered all the questions I had.

  Disliked: There was no way to get a cappuccino before 10 AM.
