  Old world charm

  Liked: A charming old world hotel. The gloss had worn down over the years but it was she was still majestic. I’m just so sad she’s about to be given a revamp I just hope they retain the history you feel when staying.

  Nice hotel but could be a lot better

  Liked: The room was nice with a large terrace and pleasant outlook.

  Disliked: The was no individual aircon control for the room and it was very hot and stuffy. I spoke with the staff but no solution was offered. Also the restaurant didn't open till 8.30pm each night so if you wanted to eat earlier you had to go into town or just get bar snacks (like toaties) etc. I was also unimpressed with paper cups to have a coffee in your room, I would have thought for the price we paid the hotel could have had china cups in the rooms. Also they were not replaced each day!

  Outdated understaffed bed uncomfortable 😫

  Liked: On arrival on a hot day....no air-conditioning in reception & nowhere to sit for a person with a walking stick as young children occupying the only 2 seats so I sat on the stairs. At thesame time a wedding group arrived of which were not told of....also for checking in with only 1 person doing the booking in....45 mins later I'm still sat on the stairs as my partner booked us in. Finally the key's we had told in advance I had just had major surgery & not possible to walk far...at the spa for recovery & treatments...well our room was upstairs & nearly the furthest place from reception...the only lift broke down several times so no option but to slowly walk downstairs aslo no ramp into hotel from outside front door. The room was big but everything old & some things broken the showers doors leaked onto the floor which is dangerous for any person with a disability or person recovering from major surgery.... I did have an amazing massage but when tried to book the day before leaving they said staff were sick so no treatment available.. Facilities okay but dated....pool was nice but not easy access to raised bed in water....at sides of the pool... Beautiful building & surroundings but didn't have a feel good factor.

  Liked: It's a cool building that has plans for renovations. Our bedroom was outdated but comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and updated. Breakfast was nice and included.

  Disliked: The pool closes early so we didn't get to try.

If you want to do a treatment or the thermal circuit, you must book in advance by contacting the hotel directly. If not, you may not find available hours. The thermal circuit is not included in the price, it has a duration of 50' and a price of 22€ per person for lodged clients.
