Exceptional
Not so good as expected
Liked: Location (close to the sea, with a shop just around the corner). Beach chairs, umbrella, and beach toys. Quite comfortable beds. Washing machine and dishwasher
Disliked: - No free kitchen cabinets for storing food and groceries. - Cleanliness. - Ants in the kitchen. - Some items/furnishings need updating. - It would be nice if the kitchenette at least had salt and pepper. - No response to messages/questions submitted via Booking, and no answer to phone calls (no responsive communication). - Only one set of keys. - Inconvenient key collection and return system (you have to go to the office).
Great location right by the beach, but with several inconvenient management details
Liked: Excellent location: The apartment is located right next to the beach. The water entry is perfect for children, it’s not crowded, and there is always plenty of space to set up. There are free umbrellas available, though I’d recommend buying your own to guarantee shade at all times if that's important to you. Close to Portaventura: Very convenient if you are planning to visit the amusement park. Problem-solving: On our first day, we had a flood in the bathroom, but the management responded quickly and sent a plumber right away to fix it.
Disliked: Oient key logistics: For both check-in and check-out, you have to drive to an office to pick up and drop off the keys. When you arrive with heavy suitcases after a long journey and are already exhausted, it is a massive headache. In the 21st century, a simple key lockbox with a code at the apartment itself would make guests' lives so much easier. Lack of storage space for clothes: There is basically nowhere to unpack your things. The main large wardrobe is locked. The other wardrobe has hangers for dresses, but the shelves where you would normally fold your clothes are completely filled with the property's spare bedding and linens. Transport and shopping: The property is situated at the very end of Cambrils. If you don't have a car, the nearest decent supermarket (like Mercadona) is about 3 km away. Also, ordering a taxi is quite complicated because they rarely have free cars available in this area, and ride-hailing apps like Bolt do not work here at all. Frustrating start: Even though the plumber fixed the issue quickly, nobody wants to spend the very first day of their vacation dealing with a flooded bathroom.
Liked: Host was very kind and communicated excellently. Right beside the sea, shop around the corner and off peak season one/two restaurants open close by. Pool was cold but we expected that being October. Apartment was tight for 5 but very clean quiet and dark so we slept well.
The best hosts, accommodation & location
Liked: Wonderful wonderful hosts and excellent very clean accommodation with all amenities for an extended holiday and kitchen sufficiently equipped to do your own cooking. In the accommodation the hosts even provided beach chairs, a parasol and baskets full of typical sandy beach toys for the kids which really added to the enjoyment of our holiday. Great location near a sandy beach also suitable for small children and even on the busiest days we always managed to find a spot at the water's edge. For a change of scenery from the sea, the pool at the accommodation is also a great asset. All in all, everything was perfect
Wonderful winter break
Liked: We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped with all the basics, including washing detergent, dishwasher tablets etc. The owners are really attentive and truly invested in making sure you have a great stay. The beach is right on your doorstep with some lovely restaurants nearby.
Disliked: Nothing
