The port

The port is Cambrils’ showcase. Around the harbour are seafood and rice restaurants, the fish market, the Port tower and the promenade where everyone goes for a walk at dusk. Staying here puts the central beaches a few steps away and the nightlife, relaxed but constant in summer, right outside your door.

If you want to eat well every day and get around without a car, everything you need is close at hand. In high season it is busy, so ask for a room at the back if noise bothers you.

Old town

Inland, a short walk from the sea, is the Vila, the historic centre with the church of Sant Pere, narrow streets and squares with locals’ terraces. It has a more everyday feel, with a market, bakeries and bars with fewer tourists. It appeals to travellers who want to feel the town and do not mind a walk to the sand. At night it is much quieter than the seafront.

Vilafortuny and La Llosa

Towards Salou, the coast continues with long beaches such as La Llosa and Vilafortuny, with developments, villas and apartments with pools behind the promenade. It is the part families prefer when they spend one or two weeks here: the water gets deep gradually, there is a cycle lane by the sea and PortAventura is close for a day at the park.

Western beaches

West of the port, towards Mont-roig del Camp, El Regueral beach and the ones beyond have fewer tall buildings and a more relaxed feel. It is a good option if you want silence and come by car to make trips to Tarragona, Reus, the Priorat or Poblet monastery. The seafront paths take you to the port by bike or on foot.
