Our 1 night stay broke our long journey, would happily stay here agai!
Liked: Great communication about the check in as we arrived late. Comfy room and a good breakfast, it was a great location for the ferry port. Safe free parking was a bonus.
Disliked: Nothing, it was more than adequate for my requirements.

Liked: We find that Hostel Alegre fits our needs as we travel with our three dogs. The staff are particularly friendly in both the reception and the breakfast room. The breakfast is more than adequate and we like the location as it puts us in close proximity to catch our ferry which leaves from Santander. There was only one negative aspect of our stay and that was when we returned to our car in the car park on our day of departure, another vehicle had reversed into it causing considerable damage to our paintwork. We understand that the Hostel is not responsible for this, but nevertheless we were upset to find someone had done this and just driven off.
