  Disliked: I’m going to start this review at 5/5 and deduct points as I go, because I think that’s the fairest way to explain our experience. Starting score: 5/5 Service: no points deducted The service is impeccable. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely kind. They were also incredibly sweet with our baby, which we really appreciated. I honestly can’t fault the staff at all. Updated score: 5/5 Rooms: -0.5 Our room was a little small, particularly when travelling with a baby, but my bigger issue was that it wasn’t particularly baby-friendly. Plug sockets are accessible, so you need to keep a constant eye on curious little hands. The bathroom design is also bizarre. Instead of a normal bathroom door, there’s a door that swings open and closed but doesn’t extend fully to the ceiling or floor. There’s no lock and it’s very easy to simply push open, which, as anyone with a toddler will know, they absolutely love to do. It also means there’s very little privacy and, unfortunately, bathroom smells have a tendency to permeate the entire room. Not ideal when you’re sharing a relatively small space with your family. Updated score: 4.5/5 Cleanliness and maintenance: no points deducted The hotel is exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The pools are meticulously cleaned, communal areas always look tidy, we never saw rubbish lying around and everything generally feels very well looked after. Updated score: 4.5/5 Water: -0.25 The hotel provides refillable glass bottles rather than bottled water, with water stations around the resort. I actually like the concept, but I think housekeeping should refill the bottles when they clean the room each day. It’s surprisingly easy to get back to your room at night and realise you have no drinking water and need to head back out to find a refill station. Updated score: 4.25/5 Entertainment: -0.5 The entertainment is fairly average.

  Liked: Great location, lovely beach and restaurants around, great variety of food for dinner, rooms and corridors not too noisy despite a huge number of visitors.

  Disliked: Ants in the room. A bit crowded restaurant during breakfast and dinner time, but this was to be expected for August.

  Comfortable and relaxing

  Liked: The room is spacious and very clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

  Disliked: The parking is expensive and is a separate cost. If you park along the road outside the hotel it is NOT straight forward and I got a parking fine as well as many other guests. This is a deterrent as I spent a lot of time dealing with the parking issue as well did many other guests who had also got a fine.
