  Would have been lovely aside from the noise

  Disliked: Soooo noisy!!! Banging doors, loud elevator until 2am. Sleep not possible. Went to lobby at 2am to tell manager and found a party in the lobby. Manager refused to do anything. Would not even offer a partial refund for the fact that sleep was not possible. Walking the Camino. Needed rest. Very frustrating. Poor customer service.

  Disliked: Rushed in by a lady. No request for passport info. No basic refreshment like water in the fridge. Sunday stores closed. Coffee machine didn't work and the water tank had green alges in the bottom. Hooks to hang jackets etc would be great. Wi-Fi didn't connect.

  Cosy attic, unfortunately noisy, several steps to climb

  Liked: Nicely decorated. I thought it was cosy.

  Disliked: Very noisy, I unfortunately heard vehicles all night. Had trouble with the shower, we had to dry the bathroom floor after use. As it is an attic, my husband banged his head a couple of times.

  Sloped ceilings were a pain, terrace was beautiful, entry staircase frightening, traffic noise

  Liked: A person certainly has to be on their guard in this attic space. I am 5'6" and after an hour here I found myself hunched over much of the time, whether I needed to be or not. I did knew going in that the attic had sloped ceilings; however the photos on the listing are wide angle and do not accurately represent the severity of the slope. What sells this place, though, is the terrace. It has a spectacular view of Combarro Harbour. And it has outdoor lighting, so on a fine evening it would be lovely to sit out there. The apartment is bijou and has everything you need, including a washing machine, which is actually a little too recessed under the counter to comfortably pour in the supplied laundry detergent. The suite itself is a difficult to access. I was not given an exact address beforehand, but the owner sent the instructions and the address a couple of hours before check in. I was instructed to knock at the gate of Rua Tarrio, 2. The gentleman who answered showed me up the precarious and scary, external entrance-way steps, two flights up. The first flight of stairs where concrete/stone and were through his courtyard, leading a path parallel to Av. Costa. I then had to go up another external staircase. The entranceway is not for the faint of heart, and I certainly would not want to climb the last set of metalic, narrow, STEEP stairs in the rain. I’m giving this accommodation a qualified 8 out of 10, simply for the spectacular view and the fact that, with my Genius 3 discount, I was able to book it at a reasonable 69 euros (April 2026).

  Disliked: The unit is very close to a main road, the noise from which is constant except for a few hours in the middle of the night. Bring earplugs if you expect to get any sleep. Also, make sure your footwear has a good grip on the sole because of the external metal steps. I wouldn’t want to stay in this suite for more than two nights. I think it would quickly lose its charm with the precariousness of the steps, the severity of the sloped ceiling and the noise from Av. Costa. The double bed in the large room was a bit on the hard side. Two shower curtain loops were broken making the curtain hard to close, and the toilet seat was very loose and wobbly. And finally, anyone with young children PLEASE be mindful that the window in the main bedroom opens wide and has no screen or fall-restraint.
