Exceptional
The perfect place from which to do all your day trips and still come home to a gorgeous hotel!
Liked: Beautifully renovated historic building with gorgeous detail everywhere you look! Our room was gorgeous with two French balconies looking out onto the river! The breakfast alone will hold you till dinner, and talking about dinner, make sure you come back to Gran Brillante at the end of your day for a delicious meal!
Disliked: That we didn’t stay longer!!
Nice room but bath/shower let it down
Liked: We were up-graded to a roon with a kitchen and an extra bed (not needed by us though). Room was set up for 3 people.
Disliked: The shower-over-bath was not suitable for the older traveller. The glass screen was too long and not moveable making ingress/egress difficult, especially as the bath end was sloped and slippery when wet - there were no grab handles. The shower unit was over complicated to operate/use.
Beautiful place to stay and awesome staff to make the e stay memorable
Liked: The location was beautiful and the property well maintained.
Disliked: Nothing not to like.
Relaxing, enjoyable and contemplative experience
Liked: Location, location, location. This gem is located in a quiet beautiful town near water. It allows for a relaxing time and it also close to other attractions like Gijón, Oviedo, Avilés, Ribadesella, etc. It is runned like a small family business. Breakfast is great and dinner is also very professionally presented. Roman and Daniel at reception were friendly and exceptionally helpful.
Disliked: Very little.
Charming Boutique Hotel with a Superb Restuarant
Liked: This is a great hotel - we used it as a base to explore the region. The parking in the city is very easy but the hotel also has a separate car park. The rooms are modern, stylish and very comfortable with air conditioning. The restaurant was superb. The breakfast was really good - mainly a buffet but freshly made. Not the cheapest place in Spain but I thought the value was there.
Disliked: The breakfast can be a little chaotic as the dining area is not huge and can get a bit crowded. Sometimes we had to wait but it is worth the wait.
Liked: Lovely hotel, the room was amazing, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very nice and helpful; it was a great stay for me.
Disliked: Check-in was at 15:00, but there is enough to see in the surrounding area.
