Fabulous
This is not a commercial, cookie-cutter property. If you want local culture, this place is it!
Liked: The owner is top rate. Since the location only handles a few guests at a time, he and his wife take the time to get to know all the guests and treat them like one of his family. This site is historical in nature and he takes the time to explain the history of the location. He also provides recommendations for local attractions and events. The best place overall that my wife and I have ever stayed.
The hospitality was very good though we would have preferred to settle into our room before a guided tour
Liked: The location was good, the building was beautiful. The owner made our evening meal himself as there were no other staff there.
Disliked: The outside area needs to look a little more attractive on entry. The room lacked tea or coffee making facilities and didn’t have any water left for guests. A fridge would be very useful in each room or a big one that guests can use. Breakfast choices were limited if you don’t eat meat. Coffee was from a machine and the orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed.

Liked: Superb location with great privacy. We arrived as guests and left as great friends with Daniel. This gentleman is the most amazing host and owner. The bed was so comfortable and the food was exquisite.
Disliked: Only the most vindictive would struggle to find something to dislike.,
Liked: An amazing old castle with an interesting history. Extremely welcoming host, Daniel, who gave us a tour of the building, and kindly gave us an upgrade. Lovely modern bathroom. Very good breakfast outside on the patio.
Disliked: It would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room and perhaps a bottle of water. There was an honesty bar however to buy cold drinks.

Liked: Breakfast was good. The building was wonderful full of quirky things. Daniel was a superb host.
Liked: A true gem! Daniel, Ana and family are the most wonderful hosts. Staying at Castell Granadella did not feel like staying in a hotel, it felt like being a welcome guest in someone’s home. Highly recommended!
Good to know
Due to environmental reasons, in the event of water supply restrictions, it is not possible to use the bathtub, and in this unique case, there would be no compensation because the showers can still be used as usual.
In the event of a water supply cut, only the amount paid will be refunded.
When travelling with pets, please note that an extra charge of EUR 15 per pet, per night applies. Please note that a maximum of 2 pets is allowed. Please note that pets are not allowed in the following room types: Double Room.
Breakfast is available for an extra charge:
