  An excellent apartment for a relaxing stay in the Alicante region

  Liked: This apartment is a great pick if you want a great place to stay in the Alicante region. It’s spacious and could accommodate a small family easily. It’s very close (2 minutes walk) to Playa San Juan beach and the tram and bus stops to Alicante centre (25 minutes’ ride approximately) are right outside. The area is habited by many Spanish locals, and so doesn’t feel overtly ‘touristy’. There are quite a few restaurants and shops in the area, though not as many as in Alicante, but as stated earlier, it is very easy to get there from this location. The amenities were very good and our hosts friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable to stay here.

  Disliked: There was nothing really to criticise about the apartment, bar one or two very minor issues which were resolved quickly by our hosts. It would be more useful to point out that the area itself would perhaps not be suited to those seeking an ‘entertainment-heavy’ holiday, as there are not so many music bars and clubs in the immediate vicinity, as there are in a location like Benidorm. It’s more suited to those looking for a quieter holiday, albeit worth pointing out that it is a flat in an urban-situated block, so some noise can be heard occasionally from outside.

  Nice apartment, location and facilities, recommend

  Liked: Great location, good panoramic views of the beach. Close to bars and restaurants with the beach a short 5 minute walk. Good facilities, fully equipped kitchen including washing machine. Private parking, bus and tram stop at the front of the property.

  Disliked: Not much to dislike, other than the the decor being a bit dated.

  Great Location...?

  Liked: The apartment's location was wonderful. You were a block off Playa San Juan with accompanying views. There were plenty of outstanding restaurants, bars, and places to shop for amenities. There was an Alicante Tram stop directly outside the apartment that provided transportation throughout Alicante and up and down the coast with relative ease. We appreciated booking.com customer service doing their best to address our issues with other facets of the apartment.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay due to a misrepresentation of the air conditioning situation by the apartment and their omission of the fact that the apartment building's water supply was going to be shut off for half of one of the days during our stay. The apartment information claimed air conditioning. When we arrived to the multi bedroom apartment, we were walked through the large living room with beautiful views and air-conditioning. When we were shown the bedrooms the host identified the location of two fans to use to keep them cool. There were no air-conditioning capabilities in the bedrooms. We attempted to use the fans to push the cool air conditioned air into the bedrooms the first night, but it was unbearably hot. We spent the rest of that evening and the remainder of the trip sleeping on the couch and leather recliner in the living room. We were also not informed by the host that the building would be without water for half a day during our trip. We discovered the fact on our first excursion out of the apartment immediately after putting down our bags when we read a local sign posted next to the elevators. We felt as though the host was intentionally hiding this fact.
