  Quite nice

  Liked: Close to the bus/train station, has a nice view to the mountains and the river from the table outside.

  Disliked: The ventilators were not working, so in the morning it was hot in the apartment. The owners had not warned me of wild boars in the street/area, so I was surprised and a bit scared when I encountered them at night.

  Great place to stay with lots of character

  Liked: It was a lovely place with a lot of character and I wished we had more time to enjoy it a bit longer. Everything we needed was there and communication from and with the host was good, including letting us know well in advance that we needed to bring drinking water and El Chorro had limited grocery options. We felt very special being welcomed with a bottle of wine and marinated olives! And it was amazing there was some special (different) tea too.

  Disliked: All was great. I did walk the road first before taking our car up as I wasn't sure and didn't want to get stuck, but once negotiating the narrow, steep road, at the top is sufficient space to turn and park the car. We paid more for this accommodation than we paid anywhere else we stayed in Spain (nearly double).

  Liked: Very convenient location for enjoying climbing activities in the El Chorro area. The place is nice and cosy, walking distance to train station and local facilities. Parking is close to the property. You can enjoy some outdoor space with amazing mountain view around you. The host was responsive and established communication with us early to make sure we have all necessities as shops nearby open irregularly. As weather did not allow us to start our climbing as planned, we were offered early check in by the host to stay warm and dry. A bottle of wine and olives welcome our arrival, too. Very thoughtful!

  Very nice

  Liked: Very nice and spacious. The location is charming and quiet in the evening. And it’s on the ground floor. You have to get your groceries in Alora, if you want to cook, because there are no shops in El Chorro.

  Disliked: The mattress was to soft and springy for me. But my partner liked it.
