Pleasant and comfortable

Liked: A pleasant, clean hotel in a small town, conveniently located on the route between northern and southern Spain. The town has public swimming pools with cool water, which are perfect in hot weather, as well as several restaurants serving traditional Spanish food. The staff were very polite and helpful
Disliked: However, there were some significant drawbacks. The floor in our room was quite dusty — it was fine with shoes, but unpleasant to walk barefoot as you quickly picked up a lot of dust. The wooden floors are also extremely creaky, and we could clearly hear alarms from neighboring rooms as early as 6 a.m. There is also a nearby bell that rings every 15 minutes and very loudly once an hour, making it difficult to sleep. We chose this hotel partly because of its excellent breakfast reviews, but unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing: no eggs, mostly pastries, tortilla and fruit, some of which did not seem particularly fresh. I’m not sure why the breakfast receives such high ratings
Simply a very nice hotel
Liked: It’s a very nice small hotel with great staff and rooms. We slept very well and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. It really exceeded our expectations.
Gem of the district!
Liked: In general a highly recommended, good value for money, good location and clean & friendly service.
Disliked: We like a welcome drink at book-in, a bottle of water as well as orange juice and coffee in the room for early mornings before breakfast. We would also prefer an option of egg&bacon or sausage for breakfast.
Lovely stay in a delightful hotel
Liked: What an absolutely fabulous hotel. Beautifully reformed and decorated, very comfortable beds and pillows, immaculately clean, lovely big fluffy towels, great breakfast.... The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. I can't find anything to fault and I will be back.
Rural stay in small town at southeast end of Rioja area
Liked: The location was much further from the main highway than I was expecting. The town itself was limited, however, it was a great way to experience a rural (non-touristy) town in Spain.
Disliked: Had difficulty finding the exact location. It would help to have additional info to be able to pinpoint location.
