Exceptional
No restaurant on a Friday!
Liked: Good comfortable room
Disliked: Restaurant and bars all shut. A Friday night and no food or drink after a 7 hour drive. When we booked restaurant was a big feature of this hotel. They never contacted us to say facilities would be closed
Real Spanish experience. Fabulous
Liked: This is the real Spanish experience. Wonderful building, beautiful huge rooms, 2 queen beds, lovely crisp Cotten bedding, has everything that you need. Lovely staff, very pleasant and helpful. Superb breakfast choices, everything dread.
We all enjoyed every second of our stay at the Maher. And we intend to go back!
A beautiful hotel – well worth the detour
Liked: We’re so glad we found this lovely hotel, a bit away from the main roads. It’s clear that a lot of care, love and attention has gone into the interior design – the tiles and stonework are stunning, and some of the floors are so polished you could almost skate on them. Our Spanish is limited, but with the help of Google Translate and the staff’s willingness to communicate, everything worked out perfectly. The room was beautifully decorated, again with elegant tiles, comfortable beds, and soft pillows. Since it wasn’t fully booked, parking right outside the hotel was easy. The restaurant was outstanding, with high ambitions and memorable food – we’ll be thinking about that dinner for a long time. Breakfast was also excellent, with a varied and satisfying selection. We took a walk through the village, exploring both streets and narrow alleys. There are quite a few new buildings, but they’ve been thoughtfully integrated with the older architecture. A charming village and a hotel that’s truly worth going out of your way for.
