Exceptional
Pleasant stay near the beach
Liked: Loved the location, the balcony with good furniture and the well equipped kitchen. The service was excellent. The area and building were calm and quiet.
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom needs upgrading/maintenance. We got a mattrass topper after complaining about the hard bed, which helped but it remained an average bed at best. We still enjoyed our stay very much and the apartment is good value for money.

Liked: We’ve stayed here before, so we came back for a longer stay. A special thanks to the housekeeper—she really knows her stuff!!! It’s a 2-minute walk from the beach and a 5-minute walk from the store.
Disliked: Since it’s very difficult to dry towels in this kind of moisture, it would be nice if we could change them. After all, you have to rinse the salt off your body every time you come back from the beach.
High quality modern apartment
Liked: Particularly well equipped and comfortable apartment, immaculately clean and tidy on arrival. We specifically chose an apartment high up (7th floor) but in practice there was little traffic noise, and we benefitted from views towards the sea and coast in two directions. Tip: apartment numbers ending in B are on the right hand side of the building looking towards the sea and do not immediately adjoin the hotel block on the left hand side. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, immense beach and marina, and a short walk to excellent Carrefour supermarket. Bear in mind that Gandia Playa is a busy Spanish seaside resort, and there can be late night noise, particularly around public holidays. Check before booking that the adjoining hotel is not being used during your stay for short term accommodation for young people attending a sports event. The Hoomvip app required to open the building and apartment doors worked well, but failed to provide any information about the accommodation or the resort.
Disliked: Information about the accommodation (eg how to use the TV, recommendations for restaurants etc that you usually find in a folder) was presumably supposed to be via the Hoomvip app.
