  Great stay in this beautifully decorated house with lots of characters

  Liked: Beautifully decorated with lots of characters. The host was very friendly and offered very good recommendations. It’s a short pleasant walk into Gernika.

  comfortable picturesque Basque villa in a peaceful valley

  Liked: Very pretty traditional Basque house in a beautiful peaceful valley, 5 minutes drive from Guernica. Comfortable spacious room, fantastic breakfast (at an extra cost)

  Disliked: We were not impressed with the restaurant in Guernica that was recommended - tourist trap, unoriginal menu with very few vegetables, all fried food, and quite pricey.

  Liked: The site is just marvellous, immersed in nature even if close to Gernika. Breakfast is sumptuous (but comes at 9 euro/person) and the host is super nice and communicative. The open air dining area in the garden is pretty as they come, and the rooms have a fantastic view.

  Liked: Loved this place, great shower, lovely clean room and comfortable bed. Lots of snacks available for pay in the kitchen so although it's a bit out of town there's some food available if you're hungry. I stopped for 1 night on my camino, its 1.5km out of town which was fine as I walked around Gernika first and got my no cook dinner supplies before going here.

  Comfortable place and possibly best breakfast of the whole Camino

  Liked: Breakfast was superb. Nora, the hostess was kind, very friendly, and informative. The decor was very pleasing and whilst there was little nearby to get food, if you were on foot, there was lots in the fridge you could purchase very cheaply, and cook without much effort. There was also wine, and beer! Also, there is a hosepipe you can use to clean your muddy boots if on the Camino.

  Disliked: You are slightly isolated in the way of eateries but the facilities at Aista more than made up for this.
