Exceptional
Liked: The hosts could not be more helpful (always available on WhatsApp, left helpful restaurant suggestions, checked in with us to ask about our plans and so on). The apartment is also close enough to the (excellent!) beach that you can walk back in flip-flops, and in a neighbourhood with restaurants and groceries nearby.
Disliked: There is no air conditioning. In Gijon, 99% of the time, this would be no problem, but we happened to be there at the peak of a heatwave. If you're very sensitive to heat, and going at a very hot time, it's worth considering. Otherwise it is no problem.

Liked: Great location close to beach, restaurants and shops. Availability of private parking also a bonus.
Disliked: Could be a bit noisy at night occasionally but would not put me off using apartment again.

Liked: Great location. Quick and easy communication with the host. We traveled with our son and the flat had everything we needed (cot, high chair, plates). The private parking is a great plus

Liked: Very nice and helpful hosts. Everything was very uncomplicated and reliable. We felt very comfortable.

Liked: We had a wonderful 5 nights in Gijón and in Borja's apartment. We we virtually right on San Lorenzo beach, great for morning works in the early sunshine. From the start, Borja was most helpful with tips and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. He recommended a day trip up to the Covadonga Lakes, which was a magnificent tour. We were keen to go to a restaurant in Lastres on the coast which friends from Australia recomended to us. We weren't sure how we could get there by bus, so Borja contacted a friend who lives there and advised us which stop to get off at. He also rang the restaurant and made a booking for us. The apartment was well apointeded and perfect for a couple. It's easy to find and an easy walk from the bus station and to the old town. It's on the first floor, but it also has a lift, which is important if, like me, you have old and worn-out kness. Highly recommended!
