Exceptional
It was a great place to stay after a long day of walking
Liked: It took a bit to get the app downloaded so we could use the keyless system but the person I communicated with was very responsive and helped each step of the way.
The room were clean and spacious. The elevator a plus
Liked: It was spacious and had an elevator.
Disliked: The couch was uncomfortable. I was not a fan of key lock system
Liked: Location Spacious Clean Very helpful host
Disliked: A second bathroom would be awesome
Luminous and quiet place in Gijon center
Liked: In the center of Gijon. The apartment is very luminous and quiet.
Disliked: It was a bit hot (heat wave) but I understand Gijon it’s a chilli place by nature, so I didn’t really mind.
Overall good value for the money
Liked: I liked the location. It was a great value for the money. The kitchen had the basics for simple meals. Wifi worked great
Disliked: It ended up being very hot in Gijon. You can't open the windows in the front of the apartment as they are on the street and a bit noisy for light sleepers. The windows on the interior open up into a corridor that the neighbors use for smoking out of. So, they let a lot of stink in. Check in was confusing. When you get off the elevator the apartment is to your left at the end of the hall. The instructions say that the apartment is on the right side, that's only true if your taking the stairs up but why would you, it's 10 floors up. The hall is labeled but it still can be confusing. I tried reaching out to the host several times and he never got back to me in a timely manner. The radiators need dusting and the dishes need to be washed better.
Wonderful place to stay in Gijón
Liked: Our stay was fantastic. The flat was spacious, perfect for the four of us, and it was very clean, bright, and cozy. The location was excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the center. The owner, Alfonso, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, providing clear instructions on how to reach the suite, along with all the information we needed. He spoke very good English and provided instructions in both Spanish and English. There was even a small breakfast compliment waiting for us in the suite. We were very pleased and satisfied with our stay.
