  Better than a 2*

  Liked: The room was very clean, with a large comfy bed. With shampoo, hairdryer, good lighting and very warm considering how cold it was outside. I would stay again if I was visiting my friend again.

  Liked: The owner / manager couldn't have been nicer. Very helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and the pension is very good value for money. Short walk to all the sites of the city. Great shower, nice large towels.

  Disliked: I like duvets with covers, rather than blankets. That would be my only suggestion. Very easy to launder between guests.

  Unable to contact after paying

  Liked: It looked nice from the outside. Can’t confirm this though as I didn’t get in. And decent location.

  Disliked: Very poor communication. I wrote a few times to advise I would be late. I didn’t even get a response. Arrived at the property and it was shut, no answer to the night bell or my messages. Had to sleep in the car. No apology. No partial refund. Just kept my money and said nothing.

  Excellent value for money

  Liked: The property was spotlessly clean and fresh. Lovely crisp white bedding, comfortable bed and very good shower. The young man who greeted us was very friendly and accommodating. A 10 - 15 minute walk into the old town is very worthwhile.

  Disliked: Parking was very difficult, and the hostel name is not apparent when you are driving around.
