Liked: We had a wonderful stay at Cuevas Pedro Antonio de Alarcon in Guadix! Staying in a traditional cave house was a unique and memorable experience, and it was lovely to experience something so special in this beautiful part of Spain. A special mention to the romanian lady in the restaurant, whose kindness and excellent service really made an impression on us. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name, but she was fantastic and deserves to be recognised for making us feel so welcome. Thank you for a lovely experience. We would happily recommend Cuevas Sant Antonina to anyone visiting Guadix! 🇪🇸❤️

Very cool to stay in a cave!

Liked: This is a really interesting town to explore, especially the caves around the museum. We arrived and were checked in at the restaurant. The process was straightforward and we were in out cave in a few minutes. It was fairly spacious, given that it is a cave and comfortably equipped. The bed was fairly comfortable.

Disliked: The kitchen lacked a few basics, such as tea towel and kettle.

Good for a quirky one night stay

Liked: Very lovely cave house, quirky but surprisingly spacious. We had a two bed one. Everything worked (have seen some reviews who were less fortunate). And the staff in restaurant where we had to check in were nice - very busy understandably - but helpful. They don’t speak English (nor should they!) so with our limited and basic Spanish and a translation app we managed fine and they laughed and appreciated it. Good place for a one night stay. Restaurant was actually really good. And popular.

Disliked: Bit noisy as neighbours parked their cars outside and we were close to reception for deliveries which seemed to go on all night. People talking loudly. And barking dog! However you are close to motorway but don’t hear it.

Great experince in a cabe type dwelling with good amenities

Liked: Cave was quiet, even though the main motpr way was beside. Was very private, had very good facilitties, pool was large and deep

Disliked: Nothing really..Its really not as bad as many make out here. Just don't expect 5 ⭐️ amenities. And yea you can find better for the same money/slightyl cheaper, but for an authentic style stay(many locals still live in hybrid cave dwellings) and it was very close to the europes "Grand Canyon" for which me very much wanted to see
