Great location and nicely decorated

Good location close to the beach for one couple in an older building
Liked: The apartment has been recently fully renovated so the kitchen etc is very good. It feels homely and fresh. You can see the bay side view from the terrace. It’s in a great location one block from the beach & promenade with all the restaurants and bars. Also a small supermarket very close by. Very good pharmacy just across the road and a great “Chinese bazaar” type shop in the building at the front which is very useful, eg for chilled bottles of water.
Disliked: Some things need to be improved for the price. We didn’t know which bedroom to use so used the smaller one with the ensuite. The two single quilt covers we had as sheets were very rough and harsh on the skin. It felt like I was in a student hostel. Being an old building there is terrible sound control - we could hear the neighbours at all hours and the foyer and lift smelled badly. Previous reviews have commented on the fact that the larger bedroom has no toilet or ensuite so you walk through the other bedroom but nothing can be done about this. General lack of storage. As others have commented we couldn’t chrome cast the TV to hdmi and there no instructions. We also felt the host, Celine, was in a big rush to leave the day we checked in so didn’t feel we could take the time to ask questions ….

Disliked: Lack of full length mirror. Lack of curtain/blind to keep lounge cool. Lack of drawer space in bedrooms. Old outdoor chairs (no cushions)
