Fabulous
Liked: Very cool old school accommodations
Liked: We loved the vibe. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were nice and I loved the tub. They also had a fridge. The restaurant was superb and the morning breakfast was excellent.
Liked: Great vibe and fabulous breakfast. We also loved the restaurant next door. The owner was super polite and did not double charge me for messing up my booking dates. I was grateful!
Disliked: It was pouring rain and I wish we could have enjoyed more of what they had to offer. Beautiful grounds and countryside.
El Foyu is a hidden gem and we really loved it!
Liked: I loved the walnuts for breakfast as well as the rest of the breakfast food! I also really appreciated the bedding - most hotels provide just a comforter now. I strongly prefer the traditional sheet with blankets and I was so happy to have that at El Foyu. The location was great. It's in a rural area but we were able to walk to town and get some great food for dinner. The room was huge and we had a really nice bathroom too.
Disliked: Nothing!
Good place to stay whilst on the Camino
Liked: Good restaurant attached and great breakfast included.
Fair stay for the price point
Liked: Pretty reasonable stay in a lower midrange classic hotel. It is clean, the owner is friendly and the location is quiet but still near the road.
Disliked: The pool feels like a prison because of the fence and there is generally no relaxing atmosphere outside. Some of the sunbeds are broken and of the lowest quality. Not bad because it fits the price point of the hotel. Breakfast is nothing special. But nothing in the hotel is actually bad.
