Pleasant
Great location, disappointing room and overall service. Would not recommend
Liked: The location in Old Town Marbella was amazing! Just off of a little street of cafes and restaurants! The bed was comfy.
Disliked: The room we were allocated was far smaller than the room we believed we had booked based on the photographs. There was no room to easily move round the bed or to properly sit on the toilet, and facilities were lacking e.g no bath towels when we arrived in our room. We felt like we have been mislead as to the size, space and luxury of the room. Equally, we had arranged an early check in, but when we arrived the hotel was completely shut and none of the phone numbers displayed on the front door or contact details were connected, so we were left in a limbo. Reception hours were advertised at 11am - 11pm but we rarely saw anyone manning the reception desk/around for help throughout our stay. Sadly, quite disappointed with the service and our stay, but at least the area was lovely!
Liked: Nice spot small room for the price but good location very nice staff
Terrible. Avoid
Liked: The only likeable thing was the location in old town. Mattress terrible and pillows all bumpy. No toilet paper was left in the room and the only person that I ever saw other than the first day was a cleaner who spoke no English. I ended up facing two men in the dark on my way in one evening who pretended to work there and they were lying. It was very scary. This place is terrible.
Disliked: The ‘reception’ didn’t exist. There was no one there on both days to speak to. I called the number they provided only to be ignored. I got one message back ‘hi’ to my message and then ignored again. Terrible way of running an establishment. I’m a female on my own, if there had been a serious emergency, I had absolutely no way of contacting anyone. I wanted to leave my bags as I didn’t fly until 8pm but ‘reception’ which is meant to be open from 11am was completely locked up. I waited 45 minutes and called the number another two times and whatsapped and they eventually responded at 4pm in the afternoon! Unacceptable
Dangerous Health and Safety violations in Room 3 and reception area
Liked: Atrocious. I have contacted the Spanish Health and Safety Authority. Booking.com is also verifying. This is only applicable to Room 3.
Disliked: I have sent enough photos to the Spanish Health and Safety Authority.
Great please to stay in what we thought was the nicest part of the old town. Check in and out were easy, even allowing u
Liked: Great location, got us transportation from airport, and were quick to response throughout stay.
Disliked: Our room was on the top floor where they air dry towels, which was not always pleasant to smell. Although I did see another room with a lowly balcony and more functional bathroom than ours, but it was on a different price bracket.
Liked: Great location and confortable bed.
Disliked: We arrived around 6pm, but unfortunately the room wasn’t quite ready yet. We went to the city centre to give the staff some extra time to finish preparing it. However, when we returned about an hour later, the towels were still missing. We also noticed a strong smell coming from the toilet, and the floor in the room could have been cleaner, as it was difficult to walk barefoot without getting our feet dirty. We understand that sometimes there can be delays, but we would have appreciated the room being fully prepared and cleaned by the time we arrived. Especially considering that the price per night is quite high in August.
