Great rooms but that’s where it ended

Liked: The room was great but the hotel was lacking a huge amount considering it was supposedly a 5 star hotel.

Disliked: The room was pretty amazing although a little dated in some areas like the spa bath which looked dirty so we never used that. The Pool was ok but had a lot of maintenance needed, and giving it a hoover on the bottom would have been good as it was quite bitty. A huge amount of the property was closed off due to some sort of licensing or council issues and it wasn’t like it was just enforced, it’s been like that for a long time. The pool staff were always busy so expect a bit of a wait. Breakfast is only served outside by the poole which is weird and a part of this issue they have with licensing, it’s all on foldout tables and a bit messy, selection wasn’t great again considering it’s a 5 star and the coffee wasn’t great. To only have bitty orange juice and not offer smooth or apple juice isn’t great for the price. Served on wobbly patio cables to boot. The 1 and only restaurant at the hotel wasn’t great showing sports on tv felt like a 3 star hotel. So much more that disappointed but I don’t have time to list everything. Please make some improvements to justify the price please!

Shame that it's getting so run down & tired, used to be a beautiful hotel

Liked: The staff were wonderful, and all the food, both the breakfast and the al a cart sun terrace restaurant was fabulous. BUT, the poor hotel is clearly run down and in need of some love.

Disliked: The access to the beach is through the closed up shopping and other facilities area, it felt sad, like walking through a grave yard. I stayed here 20 years ago, and it was a vibrant high end hotel, now, it feels shabby and run down. I feel very sorry for the staff, as they are so happy and work so hard.
