  Liked: We had a fantastic stay at the basement studio in San Bartolomé de Tirajana from Friday 11th September to Sunday 13th September. My partner lives in Gran Canaria, and I was visiting to celebrate his birthday, so finding somewhere comfortable and welcoming was really important to us and this place absolutely delivered. The studio was fantastic: clean, beautifully maintained and had everything we could have needed. The TV had English channels, Netflix and other apps, the Wi-Fi was great, and the air conditioning worked really well. There were also lots of lovely little touches that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, including complimentary water, biscuits and crisps. The kitchen was well equipped with all the basics, including washing-up supplies, towels, oils and condiments, as well as an air fryer. The bathroom was spotless and had a great shower with shampoo provided. But the real highlight was our host, Henry. He was absolutely incredible friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. For my partner's birthday, Henry even offered us the use of the hot tub on Saturday evening so we could enjoy the sunset. Our plans changed and my mother-in-law and my partner's brother ended up joining us, and Henry was incredibly accommodating when we asked if they could come along too. He provided music, towels and complimentary drinks, and the whole experience was fantastic. The hot tub was amazing, and my mother-in-law especially loved it! It's clear that Henry takes great pride in looking after his guests and making sure they have a great experience. Those personal touches really made our stay memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Gran Canaria. Thank you so much, Henry, for helping make my partner's birthday so special!

  Overall, a clean, well-equipped property ideal for guests travelling by car or using taxis

  Liked: The accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a very good bed and air conditioning. The TV and entertainment options were excellent, and the fully equipped kitchen had everything needed for a self-catering stay. Parking outside the property was easy and convenient. The laundry service was outstanding — items left outside were returned the same day, clean and freshly scented, and towels could be changed daily.

  Disliked: The bathroom had no ventilation. No natural daylight throughout apartment. Rooftop access is limited to certain apartments.

  Great stay

  Liked: I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Basement Apartments. Henry, the owner, was incredibly welcoming from the very start, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making my stay comfortable. The apartment was spotless and had so many nice personal touches. It’s a great spot for cyclists to stay and the hot tub was perfect to help with my back after lots of cycling. I felt really at home, and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!
