Exceptional
The perfect place to stay after hiking in the mountains
Liked: The apartment is located in the most picturesque village perfectly located between Sotres and Ponceobos and still close enough to Las Arenas (and 25 minutes). The apartment itself is wonderful. It has everything you need to cook for yourself if you choose to (be sure to stock up in Las Arenas Or Santander before you arrive). The bed is comfy, the pillows are so comfortable we thought about asking where we could buy some to take home. There is plenty of hot water and there’s even a washer if you need it. Be aware there’s no cell service in the village but the WiFi in the apartment works perfect. If you want to eat at the restaurant in town, you must make a reservation ahead of time as the owner only cooks a pre-fix menu for guests.

Beautiful setting in Picos
Liked: Beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. We arrived on a very hot day and it was pleasantly cool on the ground floor, although warm in the bedroom upstairs. Comfortable bed, nice shower, all new and nicely decorated. The host provided photos, which made it easy to find. It does have a kettle and a small stove coffee maker. Also, good Wi-Fi.
Disliked: The low window in the bedroom made it very bright. A curtain or darker blinds would solve the problem. A fan in the bedroom would have made it more comfortable as it was a very warm week.
Great place for hikes
Liked: Quite Great cooking facilities. Clean. Great host. Parking easy.
Disliked: Google tries to bring you the worst way. Pass town sign. Then sharp left
Gorgeous and peaceful for a nature getaway -- recommended for summer. Not winter!
Liked: We loved this B&B which is perfectly located to explore the Ruta del Cares, the Bulnes Funicular and more of the gorgeous towns nearby (Sotres is gorgeous). The town it's situated in is very quiet and peaceful and the apartment was comfortable — given that we visited during winter, the fireplace downstairs and the radiator upstairs were extremely helpful.
Disliked: We did not love the WIFI situation. There was no data / cell phone reception in the town so you need WIFI to work or stay in touch with family or friends for emergencies. For travelers with remote work to complete, it was very inconvenient to stand outside the landlord's apartment a few buildings away. And we were traveling during winter, so we had to sit for 2 hours each day in the freezing cold / rain to complete business tasks.
