  Our stay at Mirador Papagayo

  Liked: Lovely clean hotel and rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly.

  Disliked: All attractions beyond normal walking distance. Use a taxi or hire a car. The shows at night were a good variety. What spoilt it for us was parents were letting children run round while acts were on after ten at night. No staff intervened so that the adults could enjoy the show.

  Very enjoyable, lovely experience

  Liked: Location, facilities were good food was excellent and staff so good

  Disliked: The location and noise from the other two hotels around the the bay from our hotel, their entertainment constant from 11am to 11pm so loud way above our hotel, which wasn't a huge downside but we didn't want constant entertainment and loud music that's why we picked our hotel.

  Not impressed though the area was lovely in general

  Liked: Pool / views / comfortable bed / fun activities at pool side with nice staff organising the events

  Disliked: The hotel is stuffy and too warm to be comfortable in with the absence of AC around reception/ evening entertainment area and eating area. Way too hot in the rooms too, very poor ac service. Staff service was poor at times with some asking as to move tables etc which were not even ready to dine on. Not once were the tea/coffee in the room restocked, showers/toilets were not cleaned often enough. Met a disgusting Cockroach in the middle of the night, and when reported at reception the following (on very little sleep, as one can imagine) morning, it was not dealt with for hours. Actually Had to go back to reception to explain situation to another member of staff before action was taken. In my opinion, this is just unacceptable. Gym experience was awful, no towels and no air conditioning, quite dangerous to train in those temperatures. No lunch options available for half board customers which also limits options on what to do for lunch.

  A lovely ocean-view hotel with excellent food and friendly staff

  Liked: I was delighted to be warmly recognized by the staff on my return visit to this hotel. This is a lovely property, conveniently located just outside the busy city centre, with breathtaking views of the ocean. The hotel offers everything needed for a relaxing holiday, allowing guests to enjoy their stay without ever needing to leave the premises. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding, with superb cuisine prepared by talented chefs. The reception team and restaurant staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay.

  Disliked: The cleaning service and attention to detail could be more efficient and thorough. While the hotel is generally well-maintained, we noticed that some areas would benefit from more consistent and careful cleaning.
