Wonderful hotel, location, and staff/property ownership
Liked: Staff were wonderful, they went out of their way to give great local suggestions and to make sure the check in and check out goes smoothly. The location was perfectly centered in town, and the rooms were comfortable with great balconies that overlooked the sunset.
Disliked: The traffic and party noise from the street went on almost all night long, and then the street sweepers and early morning revelers lasted until dawn. It was a warm summer week, so having the balcony doors/windows open was necessary for cool air, but the noise made sleep very difficult. My wife could not sleep without the air flow, I could not sleep with the noise, so we bought a desk fan so that we can close the doors to the sounds outside and get good sleep.
The hotel was very well located for enjoying the town of Ribadesella
Liked: The staff at the Hotel Marina were very friendly and helpful and keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
This was what I was looking for in the Camino
Liked: My backpack was delivered to the wrong location and the mother and daughter who ran it went out of their way to assist me. If it was not for them, it would not have been recovered where the transport service randomly left it!
