Fabulous
Liked: Beautiful location. Clean comfortable room with private bathroom. Minimal breakfast. Exceptionally generous and helpful host. One cautionary: you really need a car to stay here. The village of Ribadesella is quite a distance and taxi service up the mountain is very unreliable.
Liked: I had a translation problem in beginning but all worked out in end. My wife and I enjoyed our time (I had to work remotely for a couple of days) but mirador del sella was comfortable, quiet and quite a lovely place. The mountain and sea views are magnificent. Would recommend a stay anytime.

Disappointing and overpriced!

Disliked: Just about everything about this property other than the view was a huge disappointment! Firstly the address listed on booking.com takes you to the completely wrong place, so finding it took a bit of work as we had no phone signal. The bedroom we were allocated was on a lower ground floor and the first thing we noticed was a pervasive smell of damp/mould as we went down the stairs. The corridor was dark and oppressive with water damaged walls and peeling plaster. On entering the room the damp smell became more obvious with mould stains on the walls and ceiling, and peeling wallpaper. The bathroom although dated was very clean but the sealant round the bath was also showing signs of mould. The property states that they supply toiletries which we assumed to mean soap, shampoo, shower gel etc. but our bathroom only had a non descript hand wash. The TV remote didn’t work and the WiFi reception was so poor in our room that we had to drive back into Ribadesella to find a cafe/bar by to use the internet. The breakfast was adaquate but definitely not worth the money and did not live up to the description given to us in check when we were told that they only used ‘premium produce’ We realised before checking in that we were paying 100€ more than that days advertised price. When we discussed this with them at check in they seemed disinterested and told us it was because we had booked breakfast and would be served premium products. All in all a hugely disappointing and over priced hotel.
Liked: The view from the hotel and the rooms are spectacular. The service is excellent they are very helpful. Breakfast is fresh and delicious.
